Hello All

Got a tiny and very light rear dashcam I'd ideally like "mounting" to the ceiling at the rear. I tried duck tape but after a day or so it just falls off. It has a small metal plate/bracket and I'm trying to mount to the fabric on the ceiling.

Anyway ideas? Would rather not permanently mark the fabric but perhaps worst case could live with it.

Would gluing a magnet to the bracket work? i.e. magnet attracted to the inside of the roof?

Get a small magnet and see if it will hold to the roof lining. Nothing to lose.

Use long sewing type pins at an angle to hold plate to headlining with minimal damage?

I fitted one to an estate car, I was tempted to try and run the cable through the rubber conduit that carried lights and wiper but in the end just secured it to so the cable was parallel to the rear of the car with a little bit of slack. The cable twisted rather than bent when the tailgate opened and closed (to avoid metal fatigue), and that worked for the next couple of years I owned the car.

OP, I've seen people fit them to the headrest legs on cabriolets, might be another alternative?
