After a recent service at Mazda they advised the sump cover is missing and part of the undertray is damaged. This is the first service I have had since buying the car last year, so I've no idea how or when this cover came off.

Either way, is it something to get fixed ? I gather it is not urgent but I would like some opinions

The issue is, as you can see the undertray has torn slightly, and my concern is that a replacement clip in tray may not be in fully secure due to this
By replacement I mean this...

Thanks

The missing piece is circled in white, and the damaged piece is circled in red

Ive run cars without them tbh but its beneficial to get it replaced, looks like you will need the whole thing to me unless you personally want to try and repair that crack.
That oil filter looks a bit close low down so probably a good idea to replace it.

Visit a scrap yard? See if they have a Mazda of the same sort in stock?

Then you can go away with intact covers and the fixing bolts, which from your pic are missing .

Nowhere round here would have the parts.

Mazda want £260 to replace the undertray and the missing part.
Will take it to indy and see if they can fit just the missing part.

I would stitch the crack with a few cable ties and fashion a new 'hatch' from an offcut of food safe or similar.

Where's 'round here'? Timbuktu? Breakers know how to post stuff out...
