Vacuum pump leaking oil?

I know nothing about vacuum pumps. I took mine off and on turning the rotor inside it, oil pours out, I assume this is just a bad oil seal?

Typically they have an oil feed from the engine and an outlet/drain back into the engine, to lubricate the pump.

Why did you remove it ?

If it's not leaking when on the engine & your brake servo is working properly that would suggest it's fine.

I removed the head, been off for months, probably ruined by now.
