WHO MANUFACTURES HALFORDS CAR BATTERIES?
Discussion
I dont quite understand why you guys are being somewhat confrontational. I asked a genuine question and know that Halfords don't make the batteries themselves. I was simply asking if anyone knew who does. You're not making for a very friendly or inviting platform and I'd just ask that everyone is perhaps a little more friendly and considerate in their reply. Once again, I was just asking a simple question. If you don't actually know the answer, please don't bother replying! Thank you.
Halfords batteries are definitely made by Yuasa. Years ago I did work experience at Yuasa's factory in Ebbw Vale and that had them, also worked for Halfords for a while after that and the supplier was listed as Yuasa on the computer and more recently I did some agency driving where I collected a truck load of batteries from a Yuasa depot and delivered it to a Halfords one.
They sell Yuasa ones as a Premium option to their own range, usually with the equivalent Yuasa one having a better CCA and capacity rating.

Yuasa have a few differant ranges. Not been to halfords for a while so unsure what yuasa ones they sell.
For example an 096 battery. Yuasa have a 1096, 3096, 7096 and 9096.
9096 as agm
7096 as efb
For stop start etc.
3096 more like oem
1096 cheaper range
Standard batterys with the 3096 having 3 year warranty over the 1096 which has 1 year.

They sell all of those versions of 096 some as yuasa, some as halfords and some as both. Warranties running from 3 years to 5 years. For example an 096 battery. Yuasa have a 1096, 3096, 7096 and 9096.

What makes you think the replies were confrontational? You asked a question, the question was answered (to the best of knowledge) and then you questioned those replies, which was also answered.
I see no confrontational replies there, just informative replies.
