Silicon lubricant aka dry lube? Proper lubricant as distinct from WD40.

I last got some from a local sports shop where they were selling it as a lubricant for skateboard wheel bearings. You could try phoning around in your area to see if anyone still stocks it. If it was me, I'd just go with the times and buy it online.

Just use some GT85 spray. IME it tends to work better than graphite anyway.

Pencil lead has clay in it too which isn't good for locks and simar mechanisms.

I have recently discovered WD40 with Silicone, it seems pretty good for cleaning something and leaving behind an aid to lubrication.

Graphite is better than gt85 because it doesn’t dissolve any grease out of the lock.

It also doesn't leave any oily residue to collect dust/grit etc.

Any double glazing place should sell it.

B & Q sell it.

Many good hardware shops will sell it.

I've always used the spray 3 in 1 oil.
Can't recall the last time I had a lock problem, maybe on my old Mk1 Astra!

I've always rubbed the key with a pencil and wiggled it in the lock a little

Rinse and repeat until the lock is behaving again.

That technique has never failed me
