MCLAREN 570 BATTERY TRICKLE CHARGE

MY 570 IS KEPT IN AN UNDERGROUND GARAGE WITH NO POWER POINT.DOES ANY ONE KNOW OF A STAND ALONE UNIT WHICH COULD SUPPLY A CHARGE?

None that would work efficiently. A battery isolator and or a decent jump pack ( ie Noco) would be the safest bet, although I’m not sure how your car would react to being sat with zero volts on its system. Happy to come and give it a run on occasion to keep it charged if that helps of course…

Given the circs, a quality isolator sounds what’s needed and a top quality battery as well.

A good isolator will allow a ‘keep alive’ current to flow while reserving enough power to start.

You could get a 240v power bank and use it to run a trickle charger. As already said, you’d waste a fair bit of power on the AC to DC and DC to AC conversions but given a trickle charger uses so little power it’s probably not going to matter.
