SEALEY 2/3 Tonne Low Profile/High Lift Trolley Jack ??

Well as i am getting back to faffing with cars i need a new all round trolley jack.
I will be building a set of stands aswell for the project to sit on. It will sit around 800-900mm high so need a high lift aswell as a low entry for the SWMBO`s car.

I have been looking around for details and reviews on this one below but unable to find much. .

I can find it for £306 but then other jacks i can get for less than £150 have the 500mm lift, any then make my own super high lift post to replace the saddle, Although a 250mm extention seem a bit much.

I just need to find out ( yes i mite have to email Sealey to find this out yet ) but what the height is of the max height of the 3 ton lift is, without the super high lift extension.

Anybody got one ?

I dont have that particular jack, but I have 3 rocket aluminium Sealey jacks.

I wouldn't buy another. Of the three, only one works as it should the other two lose height, one pretty quickly.

I find most of Sealey's current stuff is rebranded Chinese prducts with an eyewatering markup. Especially anything on their own website. Check out a few other items, you will usually find them significantly cheaper elsewhere.

I had poor experience with a sealey jack. Replaced with an Arcan low entry jack from Costco which has been ace, but I understand no longer available.

My Sealey bought well over 30 years ago is still giving good service with daughter, after looking around for a new one i dropped on Weber which several years later is giving excellent service and i hope it sees me out and pass to daughter in due course.

Have a peruse of what Weber have to offer, i notice with some of the cheaper or rebadged jobbies that the lowering valves are not very controllable, a big nono for me, Webers can be lowered precisely at any rate you desire, several different models and specs to check out.

I agree that Sealey are just a copy, like most stuff nowadays really. If i go Sealey, well the standard 500mm lift then i mite aswell just get the cheapo chinese ones off ebay or the likes. I still cant find any write ups on te one i fancied so ill leave it and get a SGS or other chinese generic one. Then make my own high lift post

I have gone off the Sealey one and that 2T i have looked at but in 3T version. After all this faffing i mite just make a ramp to get the car to the 500mm height of the stands then ( make ) use a jack beam when needed .

So far in 30 years of spannering the only jack thats failed on me was a sealey low entry aluminium with rocket lift.
Not sure i like the rocket lift aspect, seems to put more strain on them.
Ive got 2 SGS jacks and they have been ok but they are not very well regarded online, if i were buying tomorrow id probably just go to machine mart or costco and buy a decent 3 tonner.
