In order to avoid buying a new set of mats, is there an elegant way of repairing holed carpet floor mats? It's in a Mini and I know that they won't last long, so I favour a repair over a replacement.

Thank you in advance.

Could have a new heel pad sewn on. Not sure where you would find a new heel pad though!

Could sew in this heel pad. Not sure who you’d find to sew it in though.

I am not too proud to use glue.

I would just use a spray contact adhesive.

Decent quality trim contact glue, place holed mat on a solid surface with a bit of paper under the 'ole, spray glue on the underside of rubber mat, place mat in correct position first time and apply wieght to top of rubber mat for a few hours.

It arrived and I stuck it down with three strips of double sided carpet tape. It looks good, let’s see how long it lasts.

Many thanks.
