Halfords trade card and other offers

Hi all,
I see there are a few trade card holders on this thread. Hoping you can help.

I was looking at buying a new Advance tool trolley chest, already discounted by 20%. If I log in with my trade card account the price is discounted, but if I remain logged out and apply the general PAYDAY10 discount code (10% off), the resulting price is cheaper than the trade card price.

The PAYDAY10 code doesn't apply for me if I try while logged in with my trade card account.

Can someone tell me please of this is this a glitch, or is there a general exclusion about applying discount codes on top of trade card discount?

That's a bit of a bummer as the trade card is linked to my Halfords account. Guess I'll need to set up another account to use without the card.

You don't have to use your Halfords trade card, just log out and use the code given.

Don't need a new account just buy a a guest.
Sure you can do that on Halfords site
