Sidelight keeps blowing - aftermarket gizmo causing?

Sidelight keeps blowing on my C70 shed. It has an aftermarket speed display on the dash for some reason that I think is hooked into the light switch. Could this cause a bulb to repeatedly blow?

I would say exceedingly unlikely, more likely a defective bulb holder causing a poor connection.
