At the very front of the boot you'll find a plastic cover, lever that off and the sender unit/pre pump unit is directly underneath, half a dozen or so 8mm bolts if i recall correctly, you'll have to disconnect the rubber fuel pipe connections but after doing so and undoing the bolts the sender unit will lift straight out.
You'll need about 6ft of hose to syphon the fuel out.
Good opportunity to check and if necessary replace the fuel filter whilst its out.
This was the case on my 2008 SG9 XT, your sport cross should be the same, you'll probably have to tilt the rear seat forward to help access.
Alternatively, if there's only a little fuel in the tank, under the bonnet you should find the two fuel pipes, n/s on my car, one a supply the other return, if you disconnect one then the other (if the first was the wrong un) and turn the ignition on hopefully the tank pre pump will pump the fuel out for you, but if you need to clean the tank itself you'll still need to have the sender unit out.
