Girling Master Cylinder Rebuild Kit

For the vast majority of my search results, it seems I need to know the vehicle in order to get the right part. Now I can understand for the vast majority of cases this is true, but in some cases, having the part and using the part number is the only way to do it.

I'm trying to find an authoritative (ie accurate) spec for a repair / refurbish / service kit for a Girling non-integral 0.700" master cylinder, part number 64673554

It seems that this has been fitted to a Sunbeam Alpine, but when I use that to search, I get a 0.754" master cylinder repair kit. It might also have been used in a Massey Ferguson vehicle, and possibly a Mk1 Ford Escort, a pre 1975 Range Rover and many other vehicles, but using those as search terms, I don't get a consistent set of results, ie one vehicle's results do not tally with another vehicles results, which they should do if it was a consistent part being used - hence wanting / needing to search by part number and not by vehicle.

Also, all of the 'old school' motor factors seem to have been closed down / put out of business by the likes of GSF, ECP, CP4L, etc etc so I can't even phone a motor factor and ask them.

Does anyone have an old school reference chart or similar for Girling master cylinders rebuild kits? Or does anyone know the part number for the correct rebuild kit (and can evidence this - else it is just the same as all others I've found)? I've found a possible 3 part numbers for the kit but I don't want to pre-impose this as answers in case they are wrong and just end up misleading.

I've bought a replacement Master cylinder (non Girling) and this will be a reapir kit for my (now removed) master cylinder so it ends up as a 'shelf spare', so I'm not looking to spend vast amounts as my replacement master only cost £26 delivered.

It is difficult to get spares these days but if you make contests Past Parts in Bury St Edmund’s they will be able to help using the casting numbers off the unit.
They also offer a rebuild service for cylinders

Just done a quick search using some of your info (0.7, Girling & Master) and the only 0.700 master kit that comes up is.

You don't say whether the master is clutch or brake though.

I cant find that number in my Girling books.

Are you sure it is correct, as all the parts that i can find starting with 646, refer to wheel cylinders ? Quite a few of which reference Escorts.

Could be! I'd found that website but not that set of spares. Still need to confirm it's right for my casting number though. Mine was being used as a clutch master but that's not to say that was it's intended original use.

If you search for Girling .70 the internet is full of pattern parts that look identical, used on a lot of cars including the Sunbeam Stiletto.
