Anybody else had problems dealing with Autodoc?
Discussion
My order was delivered with the wrong parts 3 times. The description in the Autodoc catalogue was totally wrong, it did not come with the parts it was advertised with.
And now I have got try ang get a refund, dealing with their customer services is a nightmare, you as the customer are the one who has got it wrong, even though the catalogue you ordered the item from has the wrong description.

I don't use them anymore as I've had so many issues. I've found it's best to ALWAYS use the chat feature and have the cars VIN to verify the parts against the car. The main reason is so if a mistake is made it's clear that they confirmed the fitment. It's often been wrong in the catalogue.
Ordered twice in the last 6 months,
Issues are different to yours as mu both came damaged.
- 1st Package Oil filter had broken plastic clips on the end which were required for the filter.
- 2nd Package brake pads with a wear sensor which came with the wire broken at the pad end.
1st item I can say was potentially during transit but the second couldnt have been. Since then I dont bother as I normally need parts over a weekend and if they turn up wrong im scrabbling around local motor factors to get the right part anyway.

No apologies if this seems preachy, or you're already converted, but I heard this quote in my early 20s and have recalled it and lived by it ever since. It never hurts to revisit wise words, especially when they are proven so true, time after time:
“It's unwise to pay too much, but it's worse to pay too little. When
you pay too much, you lose a little money - that's all. When you pay
too little, you sometimes lose everything, because the thing you
bought was incapable of doing the thing it was bought to do. The
common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a
lot - it can't be done. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well
to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will
have enough to pay for something better.”

I have been with them for years. Mostly good service and the parts have always been correct but I use manufacturers part numbers to make sure as waiting a week for a replacement is a slow process.
However, I ordered rear discs and pads for a C3 Picasso. Customer is elderly and does little mileage so rusty discs on MOT advisory and is not flush with cash. Decided on Quinton Hazell parts as relatively cheap. This is how the parts arrived from the Q.H. supplier in the UK, Tetrosyl Express (not from Autodoc Germany).

So I sent these photos to Autodoc and they apologised and sent a voucher for £20. So far so good. Then the elderly chap decided he couldn't afford all the MOT advisories and fails and cancelled. I submitted a return and had paid the £3.95 extra when placing the order so I would not have return postage costs. The return in a brand new thick walled box went to plan. Now the problems start.
Autodoc have decided the return amount will be £22.22. I have no idea how they arrive at this figure. The order total was £116.76. They say the boxes are damaged and one of the brake discs is scratched. The photos show the damaged boxes and as I had no use for the discs I never opened them. So on to Live Chat and get past the useless AI bot. The handler goes down the same line so I have to shout a bit and send the photos yet again.
In the meantime I order just shy of £200 of parts for another car, not from Autodoc, but from Parts In Motion. I have wasted more than 30 minutes on this Live Chat so pissed off. As I write this (can't be arsed with work now) Autodoc have refunded the outstanding amount in full. So the correct result in the end.

I run 4 older cars one of which is having a full rebuild so I've spent thousands with Autodoc, sometimes orders of £1k+ at a time.
Only had 1 issue and that was due to Evri at this end.
I always order by part numbers as I have the factory parts ID manuals for my cars. I would never just go off the reg/vin number lookups.
I also know who is OEM for my cars (ATE Volvo brakes, Beru Porsche ignition stuff, Valeo Peugeot parts etc etc) and order accordingly.
There are a lot of Chinese rebranded makes available on Autodoc so you need to know your OEM's.
I've had major disappointment with a UK Porsche parts supplier and their OEM match which turned out to be the cheapest Chinese crap available.
I'm happy to continue with Autodoc.

A scratch on a brake disc?! Do they not realise what is going to happen to that brake disc after it's been fitted to the car??
Glad to hear you got it sorted though, I've only used Autodoc a couple of times and had issues both times. Never had any bother at all with Parts In Motion.

My order with Parts In Motion is going wrong now. I must be jinxed. I didn't look carefully enough at which courier the parts would be delivered by so the timing belt and water pump kit and track rod ends are likely never coming as its DHL. The previous order with them was a total disaster. Parts In Motion were no help with that one. DHL gets hammered on Trustpilot for mostly never delivering but sending confirmation the parcel has been delivered.

Back to Autodoc?

Used them for years and never had any issues with any of my BMWs
Always get the part numbers via RealOEM and then input those
That’s for x5 E39s, an E38, an E65 and F01, my previous E81 and our current F31 - just done a large order for my FiL’s 2.0 MX5 as well, mainly suspension parts and that’s landed without any issues
My only gripe with them is that they insist on using EVRI who are just s
te at best!
And to the poster above who seems to think k that Autodoc are out to scam you; what a load of rollocks
