Hi all, I've an airbag light on for the passenger seat. Checked the connector, sprayed some WD40, and all looks to be good but it keeps coming on after clearing the DTCs.
Question - 3 wires on the yellow connector, if I use a multimeter to check the resistance between the 2 that aren't ground (brown) am I in danger of setting it off?
Next question - I see some cheats with putting a 2.2ohm resistor between these 2 wires (this would just be to check I haven't got an issue anywhere else with the loom etc) and to see if the light stays off after clearing DTCs, again am I in danger of setting anything off?
As you can probably tell........I'm a proper scaredy-cat

Quite right too. I wouldn't be messing with something I didn't understand that is potentially dangerous and could be difficult to replace.
The person diagnosing this should be able to get a starting point for the investigation by understanding what the DTCs indicate.
By the way, use a proper electrical contact cleaner - altough there is a WD40 branded contact cleaner, generic WD40 spray oil is not a contact cleaner.
