MG ZT V6 2004 FLAT BATTERY unable to open door or bonnet

A bit stuck. I've been given a car thats sitting in a garage with a flat battery. remote key not working. Tried the physical key on the drivers side, lock not bugdging. Passenger side window was slightly open so i managed to pass a pole through with a string hook and grab the driver side handle. Gave the handle a few yanks but no joy. Tried pulling the bonnet leaver, again failed. How do i get the doors/bonnet open?
