It's the wife's 2013 ford Kuga

Occasionally one of the rear light clusters is not working, sometimes we get the bulb blown message sometimes not.

I'm assuming it's either a earth fault or a broken wire where it enters the rear hatch, how would one test for that please?

I know this is not about a Ford Kuga, nor is it about the rear tail-light - but..

Mk1 Ford Smaxes are having issues with the wire as it comes out of the car and flexes every time the boot is opened - shows itself in various ways of boot lock not responding, various lights failing etc.

I vote have a poke around on the flexible rubber cable bits at the top of the boot looking for broken wires.
