Window weather strip Spring clip

Is there a tool for fitting these? I've managed to get 2 on with great difficulty but with inner door apertures and the drop glass getting in the way I am struggling?

No, just "gentle persuasion" and if that fails try "brute force & ignorance".

When I had old Triumphs with those I made a j shaped tool out of a piece of perforated strip.

Make the bend of the j so the clip sits in it and when in position pull the whole thing upwards to seat it.
