Windscreen unbonded

New to me car - 2011 low mileage volvo v50 with full volvo history.

Fitting a dash cam- hmm wet floor under gloves box, will need to look at.

Get to pressing dash cam onto screen, and I can feel the glass shift by a couple of mm....

A quick Google and it seems it's not an uncommon issue. At least it seems to explain the leak, but I could have done without it.

I'm getting some quotes for a new windscreen to be properly fitted, though banging a load of silicone around the top of the screen would probably stop the leak (but wouldn't be structurally strong).

I know it's a ford volvo, but so far I am finding it a step down in terms of build quality from my ex bmw e61.

I found the same issue not long after buying my v70. Common issue on those as well. I found a local windscreen place who were able to remove the screen, clean everything up and refit the original with new sealant etc. Much cheaper than a new screen. The previous owner had tried putting some sealant around the screen, and made a good job of it, but it didn't stop the water getting in
