Hi there,
I have a 2025 plate Nissan Quashquai with this infotainment screen, unfortunately the thing kept malfunctioning and I had to take it back to the dealer where after having it in for a week decided it needed replacing. I didn’t realise until around a month later that they’d given it back to me with the most awful marks and scratches on, they won’t take responsibility as I left it too long. I know it wasn’t me as I have a specific glass cloth to wipe it with.
Does anyone know how I can get rid of these marks? I’ve put the photo into AI and it says toothpaste or baking soda neither of which worked, I bought something on Amazon which was meant to work but didn’t!
  • **Please note it is absolutely NOT a screen protector****
Any help appreciated please!

I'd say thats a second hand unit and the non-reflective coating has been worn off. Look at the touch points, they are all scuffed and the screen has been scrubbed with something that has partially removed it.

Either replace or remove the remaining coating at a guess.

A neighbour had a comparable issue in his Mk4 MX5.

His issue was caused by the delamination/separation of the front touchscreen element and the main display unit. The symptom has that the "scratches" are on the inside and the touchable surface remains smooth to the touch. Dealer wanted £350 to swap out and fit a second hand unit.

In his case, as his was an early Mk4 I was able to acquire a replacement sensor panel (also referred to as a "digitizer") from eBay for £17 and with a couple of hours of swearing the deed was done.

Googling "2025 Qashqai infotainment digitizer" brings up a hit which suggest that you are not alone;

Thank you for all of the replies I’ve now got it booked in to the dealer to be looked at aimed with information I’ve found with other people who have had the same issues!
