Car has been stored at the back of the unit for 7 years or so, I wanted to get it out and do some work on it so I've started going through the process of that by doing the cambelt, half moon seals, fluids, brakes etc

I had some issues with the immobiliser/alarm, key fobs were dead. The unit installed was some 20 year old Gemel unit that isn't supported anymore so figured just remove it and replace it with something more up to date when needed.

This went well enough I think, electrics aren't my thing but it seemed pretty simple and I was happy with the wiring afterwards was soldered correctly, insulated and wrapped in the heatproof fabric tape (very nice stuff I might add, gives a factory finish).

So after getting the electrics back to Mitsubishi standard wiring (I assume) I still have no interior map lights, electric mirrors seem dead, electric windows are dead, sill plate lights are dead, radio was dead but I've now removed it to access behind it. Climate control unit has power & a display but the blowers don't work.

I have dash lights, all exterior lights are fine, wipers work, power to starter motor and fuel pump so I assume engine wise it should run once I'm able.

Checked and double checked all the fuses, everything fine both the engine bay box and interior fuse box. Decent charged battery also with a jump pack on it just to rule it out - nothing different.

The radio fuse is now reading 12.6v at the fuse and 12.4v at the wiring inside the car so I assume that will now work if installed. The interior light fuse reads 0v at the fuse and obviously 0v inside the car.

I'm just chasing my tail with it now and stripping the car it seems. I was thinking of replacing the earth cable as it looks a little corroded but no worse than my other cars to be fair.

Pretty stumped.

First steps I would take would be to check continuity on the earth and check continuity on the dead cables.

Are you 100% sure no vermin has got to the car in the time it's been stored?

And is it a GPX? wink

Checked the earth, seems OK.

Checked all the fuses and relays again and everything seems to be fine. Still not showing any voltage at the interior light, electric windows (both engine bay box) door lock ECU, blower motor, folding mirror relay (interior box).

Found a voltage at the horn fuse, took the centre cap off and played with the wiring. Got a working horn, took the win and went home.

definitely not vermin related, it's my work place so I'm there 6 days a week. I just store some cars under the mezzanine floor.

Would the items not working likely share wiring or comfort relay perhaps (not sure if the car has one)? ECU is at fault?

Maybe unrelated issues and I was thinking of stripped the door switches down but that wouldn't account for the windows, blower, mirrors etc I don't know. Can't even think straight with it.
