Think this belongs here rather than TV, Film & Radio as it is about the trucks rather than the show.

Why are all the trucks in Ice Road Truckers Kenworths? Do they sponsor the show or are they just the best trucks for the job?

Its been a while since I watched it - but the last few series have all been the Blue cabs havent they? I think when it first started the guys had their own trucks didnt they? (or at least they belonged to that Huge Roland chap IIRC).

Can't answer the question - but I'd imagine they are a big fleet deal with the mining company.

Interested to know though.

There is only really 2 makes of truck in the US/Canada, Kenworth & Peterbilt. Kenworth are well known for being rugged so i guess would be an obvious choice. You sometimes see a Western Star or Freightliner but usually its one of the former

Exactly, in the big fleet market. You don't very often see them with small fleets or owner operators.
