Himself has a 4am start from Burnley to Dumfermline and back, so I am going with him, a nice run upto Scotland and across the Forth (yikes)

Has to get back tomorrow as there is another full trailer waiting for him for Tuesday morning, and I have work on Tuesday.

Yup, starting at 7am to go and tip trailers that were loaded this afternoon.

Normal day for us unfortunately.

2 days off now... My rota follows a pattern all year. Sometimes you get lucky, some you don't!

Flat rate too.

Same here, our lot don't "do" Bank Holidays.

Nope, just a normal day. I think we get extra holidays to make up for it. Gee, thanks.

Not altogether sure if himself is getting paid extra for yesterday, but still it was a nice run up there and back, have never seen the M6 as quiet as it was yesterday morning.

Although I really do wish his boss would invest in some nice bouncy suspension passenger seats, my back is not thanking me for 10 hours in the cab yesterday frown

They're generally not fitted as passengers aren't the norm in a tractor unit. In fact, some companies don't allow passengers other than company staff or people given specific permission.

I know, I guess that we are lucky that the company that he works for allows the drivers to take company with them.
