Phew!!!
Close call tonight, in a 60 plate m.a.n coming upto a roundabout in the right of 2 lanes as I want the 3rd exit, I look right, it's clear, quick check of the near side mirrors as I'm about to keep rolling, all good, then bang I anchor on the brakes before I wipe out the Astra who is on the roundabout, and who'd I'd lost in the blind spot created by these huge 1 piece mirrors!!!
Totally my fault, but shows how a split second is all it takes for it to quickly go very wrong!

I've noticed the same thing in the MAN. Not a nice feeling is it.

they are dodgy, great for rear vision, but a worry how easy it is to lose a car in one.

Volvo, MAN and the last of the previous gen Actros' all spring to mind

DAF XFs are blind at the NSF too.

Still to drive something with better all round vision than a Scania. Mirrors in particular are brilliant

Does seem to be a common problem, think I read that the new Volvo has addressed the issue, we'll see!

It's the same problem as thick A pillars on cars. Fine if it's your own and you're used to it, but not so great if you've not driven it before.

We will be having new volvos soon so unless they are translucent I don't see how they can fix the blind spot problem the mirrors have.
