I like all the mirrors and glass to be clean.

My question is:

Should the company pay and supply it or since I am driving the truck (I can be in a different cab every day of the week) is it up to me?

(Lets not mention the sat nav spit left by the other drivers)

No, there are plenty of drivers who adore spunking their own money on shiny st, polish, lights, horns tassles and curtains to adorn something that doesn’t belong to them, so your words will fall on deaf ears.

Proper companies supply everything you will need, or will re-imburse sensible receipted costs, my lot supply everything necessary, buying it in bulk.
Finding a proper company to work for is the problem.

I've learnt not to complain about short runs or slow trucks. whether its random or deliberate thats what you'll get stuck with.

Mirrors.
The best way is old school, lengths of rag that flap in the wind.Nobody does it anymore but it really is the best way, gets rid of salty road grime without streaks and effort.

Honestly, there's nothing better at cleaning glass than water and blue paper towels, and that stuff is everywhere for free.

Well, with a bit of spit, and wood ash (not coke ash!) it works well on log burner door glass.
