Avios and the Chunnel

Hopefully this one will work - I tried yesterday and it kept on getting bounced. Sorry for that

I was checking my balance earlier and saw that Le Shuttle tickets can now be bought on the same basis as going to the tunnel website. I gave them a ring to check/chat and the person there advised that they will price match the tunnel website unless there was a sale on. You have to ring Avios as you cannot book via their website.

I collect Avios from Tesco mainly but normally switch once a year (for a quarter) to Tesco vouchers as you can treble them up for use on Le Shuttle. I am not sure whether this deal from Avios direct will be as competitive as that however it could work for folks who don't 'do' Tesco

No ...all I'm trying to do is offer some info which may be of use to some folks.

As I said in my post I attempted to post this yesterday; got an "Oops...something's wrong" from PH but without them saying that the heading would get posted up...hence my trying 3 times. I tried to email PH on their support@ email address to get them deleted but it bounced. I am hopeful a mod will delete the useless posts.

Good to know - I fly very regularly and am sitting on around 300k of avios and can't spend them quick enough, so Chunnel booking would be very useful.
