Alternator woe's
Discussion
Hi folks. On my Renault master 2.5 dci chassis camper van the alternator has been tested faulty. Only giving 12.1 v under load.
The alternator is a Bosch 14v 150 amp.
It seems it's the standard alternator for the Renault master of my engine type and year. 2007.
Before I order a replacement does any one think that it should have been an upgraded one when it was made into a campervan when new?
I suppose the only extra work the alternator is doing is charging the leisure battery and running the 12 v fridge while we are driving. So I may be answering my own question.
I also see that a 150 amp is quite a large capacity alternator allready.
Your thoughts please.
