Did you get any decent gear off Santa this year?
Discussion
Funny, I didn't actually get anything motorhome specific, but I did ask people to consider what they bought for me given I've limited space and things would need to be useful rather than just clutter. As a result, I actually had quite a good haul:
- shower gel. Doesn't sound like a great gift, but it's certainly useful and not wasted space IMO;
- a cork & ceramic serving mat (useful);
- oven gloves (useful and don't have any in the van);
- battery power bank (useful for just supplementing charging when on the go and batteries are a little low);
- Karcher Glass Vacuum cleaner - great for cleaning the great expanse of A-class windscreen from condensation when the insulated blind is lifted
And with some money that I was given, I bought myself a Dyson Cordless 12v V6 vacuum cleaner. At the moment I do battle with a dustpan and brush and all too infrequently a large pull along Miele when I can be bothered to drag it into the van. Really excited at having the practicality of the Dyson.
The above sounds rubbish, but it really was one of the best Christmas' ever. At the end of the day, fulltiming has allowed me to appreciate what is really necessary and what is tat for the sake of buying a present.

We are pretty 'tooled up' ourselves in terms of stuff however my lad got me a set of snow socks for my birthday in January, so that we have them on board next week when we travel down through France en route to Spain.
Aside from that I got a hardback notebook so I can start to keep a journal of our trips; and a new Michelin France atlas.
