Going to look at a Vauxhall Movano this week. It’s 1999 has 133,000 on the clock a fresh MOT and is partially converted into a camper - solar panels/electrics/insulation done professionally. Asking price is 1500.

The MOT before this one it failed and it’s major defects were
Parking brake efficiency below requirements (1.4.2 (a) (i))
Offside Front Service brake excessively binding (1.2.1 (f))
Nearside Front Wheel bearing has excessive play (5.1.3 (a) (i))
Nearside Front Suspension component ball joint dust cover no longer prevents the ingress of dirt (5.3.4 (b) (ii))
Offside Front Suspension component ball joint dust cover no longer prevents the ingress of dirt (5.3.4 (b) (ii))
Offside Inner Suspension component mounting prescribed area excessively corroded significantly reducing structural strength and outer cill (5.3.6 (a) (i))
Oil leaking excessively from engine (8.4.1 (a) (i))

What do you guys think? Worth the money?

Excessive corrosion? Even though the corrosion's been addressed that's one red-flag that put's me off full stop. Not keen on the oil leak either.

So many sh*t vans on the road.

The chances are you will end up chasing the corrosion every year when the mot comes around, no one will want to weld it up with carpets and cupboards above it which means you will end up stripping it out.

1500 is cheap for a van with some work done. Any receipts to prove what's been done to rectify the faults ?
