If anyone is using a powered jockey wheel I would be grateful to read some feedback.

I have a car box trailer, about the same size as a caravan, weight is 1,000 kg, moving it by hand in my garden is a challenge, there never seems to be a son about when I want one!

At approx. £250 a powered jockey is a fraction of the cost compared with an axle-mover system, question is do they work?

When I looked into this the consensus seemed to be they don't work too well unless the ground is nice and flat and level

I put in an axle mover system (Powertouch) on my caravan, bought it 2nd hand for £150 and installed it myself

Only downside with fitting a caravan type motor mover is how do you power it unless the box has a battery like caravans do?

I've seen some of the type of trailer movers advertised quite cheap so it might be worth a go if you find one cheap enough. If it doesn't work out for you then sell it on again.
