Can someone explain how two VW camper vans old style but look new have a 13 and an 09 plates?

Both looked like the Devon Moonraker style which I believe is outfitted by Danbury?

The manufacture of that style of van ceased some years ago.

More than likely imports from Brazil where production ceased in 2013.

https://www.gov.uk/vehicle-registration/vehicle-id...

If they have been significantly altered or the VIN number was lost during refub at some stage then they would have to be reregistered and put on new plates.

Easy to tell if they are the new ones. The grill is very different and the doors have a raised bit round the bottom.

Seems that Danbury still sold them recently based on Brazilian manufactured vans.
2013 and 2014 registered ones here:

That’s solved my question thanks one and all. I had one like this, new in 78, sold it a couple of years later, but still showing on the road, someone loves it, cost new £8000.
