Camping BBQ

Just picked up a second hand Weber Q1000 bbq to take with us when we camp locally but also in France. It appears the previous owner has swiched something out so they could use the larger propane cylinders. What do I need to get it back to using the little Weber cylinders so I can take it camping, not keep on driving down France with a huge cylinder in the car.

They will have added gas hose and a standard gas cylinder regulator. TBH probably the best way to power a gas bbq so you are not constantly changing annoyingly small cylinders. Perfectly safe to transport in a car. Unless space is really an issue I'd be bringing a proper 4.5 kg caravan type gas cylinder.

Thanks guys. Is there any difference or preference over Propane or Camping Gas?

I use butane

If you camp in winter or in temps below 5 degrees C then Propane is your choice as Butane won't gas at low temps.
