Motorhome and Caravan Show NEC this week
Discussion
We're going at the weekend. We've recently sold our coachbuilt are are looking to buy a Ducato van conversion next with a fixed rear bed. I just need to find one that will fit my mountain bike under the bed although there are more and more conversions with an adjustable height bed which would make things easier. If you see someone with tape measure in hand measuring under bed storage spaces then that could be me

Might be a long wait, there are no Ducatos anyway at the moment.

Probably why some many conversions are going Mercedes or MAN nowI'm sure I've read somewhere that the ambulance service are standardising their fleet and only buying Ducatos, that probably won't help the supply issue.

I'm working up here all week, oh the joys lol, that's over 30 NECs for me now I reckon!
Anyone passing by I am on the Wildax stand though thinking of jumping ship to the Compass motorhome stand, white shirt with Highbridge on the back come say hi!
I'll try and remember that. It'd be good to put a face to the name Anyone passing by I am on the Wildax stand though thinking of jumping ship to the Compass motorhome stand, white shirt with Highbridge on the back come say hi!

We have reserved a wheelchair for Mrs O as she wouldn't last more than 2 hours otherwise. Hopefully we can get 4 hours in before she is too knackered (she has MS btw).
We are staying for 2 nights on the C&MC temporary campsite at the NEC. Pricey but handy for the show.
Went today, first time for 10 years or so as after contemplating a motorhome for a bit, we've gone to the dark and dirty side and decided a caravan makes much more sense for us. Took the plunge and got an order in for an Adria Dart (4 berth rear island bed) and have to say I was really impressed. Even got what I thought was a fairly decent deal in the current climate! Comes December/January so now need to sort out a towbar on the fpace and somewhere to store it!!
Huge show and there can't be many caravan/motorhome options for the UK that aren't available to view!

Nothing wrong with a wobble box, them and campers both have there plus points, we went down the same road as you. F Pace should make a decent tow car too.Huge show and there can't be many caravan/motorhome options for the UK that aren't available to view!

Anyone going?
We are going on Thursday
Myself and Mrs 48k went on Tuesday. First time ever. Lots to see, could easily spend a whole day browsing if the feet could cope.We are going on Thursday
We're looking for a first van that we can use as a day/activity van, so in the market for buying a van and doing a conversion. Sadly the show wasn't for us as it is chock full of people trying to sell you finished shiny things and there is proportionally very very little for self builders but nevertheless it was good to have a poke around and get some ideas.

We managed 4 hours or so there and got to see the stands we wanted to see.

Given that today and tomorrow are sold out, do you envisage a record year for orders from this show Jody? What's the vibe amongst the companies/exhibitors?
We thought that the exclusive lounge areas looked very busy with lots of heads huddled together presumably discussing deals but that was just a snapshot really.

Tbh we were all kinda thinking this show would be a struggle with the price increases and awful availability and the strange world we live in....
But tbf it's been banging, best sales figures I've ever done at NEC and I'm a rubbish show salesman, too laid back me
That's the sort of salesman we prefer. Laid back. But tbf it's been banging, best sales figures I've ever done at NEC and I'm a rubbish show salesman, too laid back me
