Micro campers... anyone else use one?
Discussion
As above does anyone else use a micro camper?
For those not familiar it's normally a smaller vehicle such as a Fiat Doblo, Transit Connect, VW Caddy or similar sized vehicle, in my case a 2004 Peugeot Partner.
Some fit them out with what is commonly know as a boot jump either home made or company such as Andro, or fit them out as they deem fit, mine has a single bench that fold out into a double bed, mains and 12v power, used with an awning they are a cheap and viable alternative if you wish them to be but like many things you can spend as much as you can afford to.
Ours came in at less than £2000.00, self built to my limited skill set but perfectly suits our needs.

I like it, seems really versatile; you do need an airy space to sit if it's raining, and also to get dressed, cook etc, so that looks ideal. ...presumably you access the 'bedroom' through the side sliding door? Is the tent part 'drive-away'? ...I imagine that's a lot less faff than a MoHo if you need to pop out for milk! What drawbacks will you admit to?
We were camping in the New Forest a while back next to a couple in a Citroen Romahome.
They were obviously travelling light, sat outside it with a couple of fold up camping chairs and a Jetboil for cooking, but it seemed a rather quaint way to get about, albeit probably rather cramped in bad weather.
