Anyone away for Easter?
Discussion
We normally give our Eriba a shakedown for the season with an Easter trip as that's when most of the sites open, but with a patchy weather forecast for the South of the UK (snow reported in Devon this morning) we have decided to give it a swerve and wait for things to brighten up a bit.
Anyone a bit more hardy and braving it? Interested to see any pics.

Nope, finished the downstairs toilet today then collect ours from storage, give it a wash and fit a motormover. Our first trip is the end of April to Donnington but that’s infield and last year it was a mess with less rain than we have had this year.
What's on at donnington , touring cars ?We were thinking of a few days away this week in our campervan, but the forecast pretty much across the country is frequent showers at best, with periods of prolonged heavy rain in general. We've not bothered. We might try next week if things are looking brighter, or leave it until next month.
Just down the road from me, two lovely sites there, especially in summer. Which did you stay at?
I'd like to stay there but given that Henley is somewhere I would cycle to or not baulk too much at the cost of a taxi there and back on a night out the missus has decreed that it is too close to home!

We spent last week down near Truro. Pissed down pretty much all day every day so in a four night stay we only cooked on evening meal and one breakfast outside. Had to wind the awning in on the second night because of how much it was flapping in the wind and came home a day early because the rain on the roof of the van man meant we hardly had any sleep.
Other than that we had a great time

Not long back from Maryport marina site. Reasonably small site with perfectly clean facilities. Perfect for fishing and dog walking on the vast beaches a few minutes walk away.
Fairly unique location bang in the middle of the marina but sheltered somewhat by the seawall.
Plenty of free overnight parking on the beach for those that don't need facilities aswell. Not a great deal in the town itself but you can't have everything!

That's made me feel slightly better about binning our plans! Other than that we had a great time

The Met Office are reporting that the 18 months to end of March 2024 are the fourth wettest on record.

Hopefully things will start to dry out a bit now, we've made a booking for the the Dorset coast for May Bank Holiday.
Hosepipe bans can't be far away!
