Morning!
I have a 2010 Chausson Flash 03 motorhome, with a dometic 3-way fridge. It has completely died. Took it to my local motorhome place in Sussex, and they confirmed it can't be revived..

Thing is, they want almost £2,000 for a replacement. Thats insane isn't it?

What have others done when their fridge has died. Are there cheaper options? I can't see anything less than £800 supply only, which seems crazy to me.

Or do i just muddle through with a Ninja frostvault for the 10-12 weekends a year I use the van??

Any help or suggestions appreciated

Have you googled swapping over to a compressor fridge, quite a few people say they work well.

Anything to do with motorhomes or caravans has ££'s added to it.
There are caravan breakers you could try but I'm sure they will know the value of used ones only took well.

Get 2nd opinion or 3rd opinion, mine was not working on gas and I was quoted £1200 plus labour. But I persisted to have it repaired and they found the fault, and it was electrical component at the back of the fridge that failed.

Can you fit it yourself for maximum brownie points?

It’s probably the control board that has gone, if you contact the manufacturer you should be able to get a replacement.

If not get a more modern compressor fridge and a solar panel

If you can’t repair it and need a new then compressor fridges are cheaper to buy and much cheaper to run off leisure batteries if you have enough 12v available.
