Leviathan Wakes/Expanse

I was given the book as an xmas present and started to read it, and then realised it was a TV series, Expanse.

I often read a book and then see the film/series, but I have done it the other way around. This time I'm doing it both at the same time. It is a great way to enjoy the story.

They're a really good read...the TV show as usual made a few changes in the interest of simlicity or watchability, particularly in the later books (towards the end it got a bit egregious*, but early series are pretty close).

Fun fact - the authors have both been close collaborators of George RR Martin, including writing various adaptations of and add-ons to the Game of Thrones universe.
