Woohoo! August 12, Silverstone

I've booked a slot on the evo mag track day at Silverstone in August - I can't wait! It's been years since I went around there, and then it was in a first generation Elise that seriously ran out of puff. Time to get some Playstation practice in to re-learn the track

What PS2 game* has any of the British circuits on it? I'd like to be able to do the same...

*(apart from Lotus challenge which is quite the most dreadful game I've ever played...)

I've got one or other of the TOCAs for PS1, which will be enough for general track familiarity. It contains a number of the UK tracks, faithfully enough to recognise corners and grandstands when they pop up on telly. I know a few bits of Silverstone have changed in the past year, so I'll need to find out which ones and keep them in mind.

Cool - I might dig that out... shame there's no PS2 version (or is there??)..

Apropos to the desire to drive a familiar track, I'm a particular fan of the Monte Carlo circuit on GT3 cos it's the only one where I recognise the place first hand

I've got TOCA for the PS/1 - never play the bloody thing anymore, so if someone wants to borrow/burn it for track reference, be my guest.

Same here, I love it when I get the swimming pool spot on all the way up to Rascasse Mind you, I have never, in any driving game, got the hang of the right hander into the tunnel. I always barrel in waaaay too fast.

You can play all your ps-1 games on the ps-2 - sometimes it even improves the ps-1 games graphics...
