Over the last few months we've had a few threads on the best car chases and car sequences on film. So lets turn it the other way round - as a car enthusiast which sequence involving vehicles on film is the very worst.

May I open the bidding with:

The 'race' from Grease - 2 cars racing at speeds of up to 25mph! Now if they were doing a song & dance rountine during it I could understand this for safety reasons but this was meant to be a serious dramatic event!

Ali-G In Da house!

Has to be the worst and best at the same time though!

Having a drag race but adhering to the 20 mph speed limits

The Chase www.imdb.com/title/tt0109402/

With Charlie Sheen. Hilarious 'chase' with hundreds of patrol cars chasing a 'speeding' red BMW.

At one point, the camera glances down to the speedo, which is touching 80mhp

Actually one of best car films (if you like 911's) is No Mans Land. Very hard to get hold of, I had to order it from the states. It has Charlie Sheen in it too.

Worlds most amazing police chases... Every time you hear the usual " ... at speed of up to 90 mph..." and so on! Are these people actually trying to escape? And in a blues brother type of way, you will have a milk float escaping and 30 police cars all following behind at the same speed! And hen when a prime oppurtunity to block comes into play, they more often than not leave a nice car sized gap...

Worst car chase ever could be the BMW Z3 in James Bond: Goldeneye - there isn't one!

Was all that hype about the new Bond car and BMW supposedly prepared some pre-production models just for the film. Starts off promisingly with that scene early on about 'headlight mounted rocket launchers' etc. and then all we get later in the film is about 30 seconds of someone crusing along a dirt track in the Bahamas!

I'm guessing this is not the same 'special interest' film of the same name that I've seen...

Ronin, over hyped, under continuity checked and over here.

Anything with sped up film, there's no excuse.

Another vote for the fast and furious here.......I lost count of the 'up changes' made.

I can only assume the gearbox was the entire length of the car to be able to fit all the gears in....come to think of it maybe this would explain that there is only room for a 1.1 engine resulting in the breakneck speeds of 50mph experienced in american car chases!

Ahh, looks good. Not as good as a women's prison run by lesbians with a passion for punishment, but good nonetheless.

Tons of bad car chases from the 20s through to the 50s. Lots of actors sitting in cars in front of back projection movie screens.

Cant agree there.

Ronin is one of the best car chase films IMO And it does not use sped up film by the way. The actors were either sat in the driving seat with a stunddriver driving from a seat in the boot (i'm not joking!), quality stuff.
