All,

Just thought if fair to warn anybody in the local area etc that it's Vodafone's annula staff ball there tonight so there will be 13,000 employees turning up around 7ish tonight...

Steer clear if you can - last year it took us 2.5hrs to do 3 miles to get into Highclere Castle.

Off to check the DJ still fits

hmmm just recovering from a rather good night out thanks to my employers (VF).

Plenty of booze, food and side entertainments (casino, fair ground, BBQ area, disco etc) - which left the main acts in the 10,000 arena :-

"Madness" - fantastic gig with sugs well on form
"Sheryl Crow" - started slow but was great by mid act
"Blue" - was going so well until then, still time for a break to explore
"Sir Elton John" - wouldn't have been my #1 choice but bloody good songs & music, just a shame about his physical condition nowadays...

All in a quality summer do that takes some of the edge of all the long hours and grief...

Brilliant evening, I had to leave just after Elton John started, when some drunken enormous woman stumbled over a step and fell with full (substantial!) force into my back. She just got up and walked off without a word, whereas I could barely stand!! Oh well, at least I didn't get caught up in the queue to leave.

Still, bloody impressive night despite that.

Rich.

Its nice to see Corps still taking care of their staff.

I had feared in the recent times.. it wasn't a 'done thing' anymore.

Good Form VF.

yeah - the last two dos that I've been to have been great by them (last year was bryan adams & robbie williams @ highclere castle). So they certainly know how to put on a go do.

Even though I'm still feeling fragile from it right now

Must remember to go back to Blenheim to see some of it as the grounds alone looked stunning yesterday...

Rich - sorry to hear that. Whilst watchin Sheryl Crow at the front one girl passed out and her other half had to carry her to the medics, but thankfully didn't see much else of that.

Only other thing to annoy was the number of muppets who had their front fog lights on when leaving. FFS the whole place was light with spotlights!!!

p.s. I'm current based @ Newbury in DCS (as of Friday now part of IS) if you're over give me a shout!
