A friend just sent me this link and I was amazed by the last poster saying the tuscan would be boring after a while

On getting a moped after having a push bike - Brilliant for about 6 months
On get a 125 after having a Moped - Brilliant for about 6 months.
On getting a Z500 after the 125 - Brilliant for about 6 months.
On getting an RD350LC after the Z500 - Brilliant for about 6 months.
Never driven a TVR, but I don't imagine that after 6 months I'd be too bored, but who knows. The trick is to get a 1986 1.1 Fiesta and use it for about 4 weeks and then go back to the TVR.

I think the review is pretty much spot on - an excellent understanding of the differences between the VX and the Tuscan and why they appeal to different people - maybe he should look at reviewing for some web magazines ?!?!
Anyway, I agree about the last poster though:
Obviously I am going to defend TVR here, but to be honest this is bollox. In comparison to a Lotus engineered (remember its not a Vauxhall, but a Lotus with a couple of creature comforts added!) a TVR will always be very different. But you certainly cant complain about a Tuscan as it is setup for what it is - which is a RWD Front engined monster.... compromises need to be made and ultimate grip etc have to be sacrificed for some ride quality....
Lack of feedback on steering? Try driving a fast Audi, then you will understand what lack of feedback is! As for crude suspension? What? Eh? Crude? Nah.... and exactly how complex and sophisticated is a Lot..cough sorry Vauxhall suspension then? The philosophy behind Lotus is simple, effective and light.... not complex heavy and expensive for christs sake... sniffs of someone not actually understanding anything here...
Oh, and finally standard Tuscan lethal? Only in the wrong hands. Mind you so is a Perodua Nippa - to driver, passenger and pedestrian.... lethal... phah.
A Lot..cough..vauxhall is a very different beast to a TVR and each address different parts of a car marketplace. Each are valid and each are very good at what they do - like comparing eggs to flour.. not exactly the same thing now are they....

although in fairness I have heard this before from past and present owners. The original suspension set up on the tuscan is supposedly not that fantastic and a bit unsteady at high speed. The later ones were more sorted but a set of nitrons and a fettle with the suspension are often recommended for the earlier cars.
