So there i am strolling through Reykyavik old town in Iceland on a four night break last week 2,and a chap passes me wearing a pistonheads wooly hat! meant to stop him and ask what he owned but was too late by time i thought of it. PH is obviously a global brand now,you cant get away from it!

According to that Clarkson series a while back, there are some serious PH types there, driving offroaders up vertical cliffs, blowing tyres back on with lighter fuel and blasting dragbikes with spiked wheels over frozen lakes

It's quite impressive. Just make sure you stand back! I wouldn't suggest trying it, but it does work. We did it on a 38" tractor tire/rim. Actually lifted the whole thing about 8" straight up when it 'popped'. Seated the bead like a damn. I don't know how else we would have done it with that tire (slightly too narrow for the rim).

I have yet to see another PH touque. I wear mine all winter long, damn fine touques they are.

you're right about the petrolheads there, the night before, was walking back to the hotel, and was passed by: 64 mustang,58 chev bel air,68 camaro,72 dodge challenger(mmmm want one!) plymouth satellite and a 70's corvette1 out cruising! made my night( even the missus was impressed)
Actually it was the clarkson programme that aroused my interest in Iceland. Damn expensive out there tho' 6 quid a bottle of beer!

The South Wales Echo run a photo competition to find someone with a copy of the Echo in an unusual place (although being Echo readers, it's usually Tenerife). Perhaps we could have a photo competition for a PH logo spotted in an exotic location (and no, not Milton Keynes ).

Could have been me I was wearing my PH hat with pride, well more accurately I was wearing it to keep warm now the old thatch is getting a bit thin on top!

I was off on a quick break with Mrs CVP and we did have a couple of days on Reykyavik.
