Spent a horendous weekend trucking back and forth from Croydon to Canary Wharf about a zillion times. I have a question.........Why do "ethnics" always do U turns and 3 point turns in the most ridiculous places on some really busy roads. They dont seem to have any thought fo other road users.

I would carefully point out that this most certainly is not a racist comment, I am just wondering if this is part of their driving culture when they are "back home".

Because they're exempt from UK law, of course. Minorities can do anything.

I am in a minority group and I am not allowed to get away with anything.
I cannot claim anything off the state. I have a name and address so I can be nicked for any crime. I have a license registered at my address so I can get nicked for any motoring offence. I own something so I can always be held responsible for anything I do financially. I have car insurance so even if someone else hasn't they can still get me to pay for any damage I may cause. I make no attempt at abusing the system I am supposedly part of.
The minority group I belong to is a British tax payer that has never been on the dole and has something.

I agree totally. I have never seen my own feelings put into words better!!

I normally end up swearing and going a bit red.

Maybe they're using TomTom Navigator, I noticed several time recently that she's wanted me to simply "Do a U turn", yeah right because its so easy/safe/legal to do.

Ever had an argument with your SatNav? Onlookers think you're bonkers!

As I've said before, there's no need for U-turns.

RWD, a few thousand RPM and full lock...

You can see where I'm going with this.

Has it every occurred to you that the "ethnics" may already be "home"? Just because they aren't white doesn't mean they don't come from the UK.

Funny that you should say that yours was not a racist comment and then make such massive assumptions.

I just wondered why he assumed that anyone non-white wasn't British.

I'm merely expressing an opinion of an opinion.

Please advise how else to phrase the point without causing offence.

i just knew some clown would object. How about "country of their genetic origin". You know damn well what I meant, you are just looking to score a cheap point.

No, I wasn't actually. I didn't know damn well what you meant or I wouldn't have asked.

Birdbrain. I am angry now. In your post you have completely summed up what is wrong with this poxy country. No-one can ask a simple question without some pillock claiming that it is racist, ageist, offensive to the disabled, etc etc etc. PC gone bloody mad.

By the way, my Budgie is looking for a bit of compo, as he considers your name to be an insult to birds everywhere.

That's what gets me. You see a - er - person from a minority group doing, let us say, something illegal, be it a U-turn, throwing a brick through a window or whatever. Yet if you dare mention it, the reflex howls of racism spring forth, not just from the minority concerned but also the lefties.

This USED to be a country of free speech, but not for the majority it seems.

"Country of genetic origin"??? Wasn't that one of Mr. A. Hitler's favourite subjects?

If somebody's British, they're British. And there's no way you can tell that through the windows of a car doing a U-turn, IMHO.

I do agree, inconsiderate driving is verry annoying tho! It may even be illegal...

Are you mad? Please, please tell me how to describe someone who is not white without giving offence.

We all know the words I could have used. Surely the fact that I am treading on eggshells here show that I am trying not to offend.

I think it was more the assumption that someone non-white wasn't British which I was questioning.

And I never called anyone racist
