Guys,

Get the mag, turn to page 77 and tell me that you would'nt trample over people to get your hands on that car.

EVO even reckon it's as good as the Porsche 997.

Glory be ! Hail to Maserati ! An alternative to Pork at last...

I want one.

Now, where is £66,000 when you need it.....

Thats the chap.

But not in that girly blue colour. The one in Evo is blood red with back leather with red stitching and carbon fibre all over the place.

I'm dribbling on it right now...

I have been informed that if you lowered the car 10mm, installed the suspension and gearchange software, fit the 19 inch wheels and the tubi you have the same car for a lot less!

I am tempted.

Glad to see they chose the right colour too
Test drive to be booked me thinks.
Had a good nose at the black one in Maranellos - interior is awesome, not sure about the body add ons but if it drives like they say....

Not sure for me.

I'm thinking when Aston brought out the DB7 GT (similar special version) just before they dropped the DB7 for the DB9.

Might be a newer model on the horizon.

The question is really what will the depreciation be like - if other Maseratis are anything to go by then it's sink like the titanic.

Saw my 1st new Quattroport on the road yesterday (West Sussex), being a former member of the Maser Car Club at age 12!, I have a soft spot for them, but the new QP from the outside?....hmm, not sure, but then it was flying past in the opposite direction so I didnt get a chance to have a proper look.

I think they look gorgeous. If I needed an S Class mrec, then I'd buy one of these instead!

As for depreciation, well the bad old days of biturbos still linger in the minds of many in the trade which affects values IMHO. In time this will fade. Right now a decent low milage 3200GT is IMHO an absolute bargain around 30-35k.

I trust this is the latest Evo? Isn't it encouraging to think that it's out in the shops when my first copy through subscription, despite the assurances, hasn't been posted yet?

And to think that I've just spent £9.99 on their Supercars special.

Lovely Maser. though....

Not as bead as you think. £500 for the first year (12000 miles iirc) and then a £1200 service at 24k. The 4200 is holding its value quite well nowadays, and is such a gorgeous car to look at and to drive - its just feels SOOOOOOOOO special!

Its actually very reasonable. Mine cost me 600 last year. I don't object to a grand for cambelts etc either - costs far more on a Ferrari.

If you go back to Ghibli Cups etc then yes they were eye watering to service - but those days are long gone. Fantastic cars though....
