Well, that's it. She's gone. I know she's gone to a good home, but I couldn't help patting her roof and saying, "Goodbye!" when I left.

The worse thing is, I'm not upgrading, I'm selling out of financial necessity, so I have nothing to look forward to except a worse car! The positive side is that she's going for a good reason and I know I'll see her around all the time.

So, bye to my Chimaera it is for now, but I'll be back!

Oh, any offers of rides in fast cars to console me will be very welcome.

And yes, I will update my profile later!

That's a effing fantastic colour!

Gutted for you.

Cheers for the sentiments Gazboy. FYI the colour is Imperial Blue - a very deep blue which looks almost purple when wet. I have to to see a better colour (IMHO) for a Chimaera.

My girlfriend rocks in that sense - she tried to convince me to keep her (the car, not my girlfriend! ). However, in the long term this is the right thing for me to do so it doesn't hurt too much. At the end of the day, not many people are fortunate enough to be able to buy a TVR at 24 - I've had my three years of fun.

Plus, I went out as a passenger in her when CrazyLegs (a good mate of mine who lives about 15 houses away!) had his first drive as the new owner, and seeing him experiencing the same buzz I got when I bought her really put a big smile on my face.

Sh1t, I missed a trick there!

CrazyLegs, I forgot to mention that £500 on the end of the figure we agreed!

So, how much have you got to play with for your next wagon?

I'd like to restrict my spending to sub £10k, ideally £8k or less. I'm hoping I can pick up a nice Accord Type-R for that kind of money.

You need a breed wagon?

Nah, I need a good commuting car because, after three years of working Mon-Fri in London I'll be working within an hour of home. The Type-R is nice because it's also fairly quick and has impressive handling. However, my reasons will become fully clear in a couple of months.

Roadsweeper mate, I cant help thinking you are eligable to join the proper car club with a sub 10k budget. A nice (really nice) 944 S2 would hang on to its money a lot better than a Honda and handle better too. You would also have to retract those nasty beetle remarks as well.

Awesome condition!

If it had four seats I'd buy it!

Here you go

Extremely cheap for such a rare vehicle.
Only about 50 of these ever built.
