According to a Tesco survey of women they are these:

(Obviously few women have heard of TVR's or they would have been the first choice...)

Alex Liebchen ... would agree mit Dir about the TVR...

But I would agree that top three deserve to be there...personally I would have Jag higher p-lace - but I drive one ...

Und I am amazed that a Moggie ain't there ... the back seat ist ... oh - so sexy ... we will not go into what Mad Doc und I got up to once ...

I cannot understand why a Range Rover or Jeep would be there ... but these would be the wimmin who drive them on school run und cannot park them

As for the poor Trabi featuring in the least sexy list... aber doch ... it ist a very sexy little motor given the way it does not handle Quite an erotic experience over pot holes on East Roads und when you corner (slowly) und discover that the car goes in the opposite direction.... und you think your last second on earth has arrived ... it must be the ultimate in scary white knuckle rides.....

Und subtle hint to my husband .... I want a sexy car not an oversexed cat for Christmas!

Reminds me of a girl I lived with at uni, who was going to buy a new car. Me-"What are you going to go for?", Her-"A red one!"

Sad that Triumph no longer feature, when they can still (as I found out this morning ) snap knicker elastic at 50 yards.

Thanks Wild Cat for your very funny post.

Your tales of Trabant motoring took me back to a taxi ride in Budapest fourteen years ago. It is amongst the scariest rides of my life. I got to thinking that it was only God who could save me, fear was mere self-indulgence

An interesting survey. Funnily enough the first car that sprung to my mind was the Aston Martin Vanquish S V12

What on earth were Land Rovers and Jeeps doing in there? About as sexy as Jean Claude Van Damme, but then, there is no accounting for taste and some people may like that sort of thing

I am certain that the women surveyed wouldn't know a TVR from a Jaguar. Audi? Hmm. I do rather like the S4 convertible. Hubba! Hubba! Still, they are talking about what cars make a man look sexy I think. Sorry, cars don't make men look sexy. Men make themselves sexy in a whole host of other ways which the fools doing the survey failed to acknowledge. But then, that wouldn't be so beneficial to their promotion of car insurance

Maybe they're thinking Willis Jeep things, all those re-runs of Band Of Brothers and other GI Joe programmes possibly explains this.

I'm not surprised, although in my experience of conversing with women re cars, it's something like this:

-Aston Martin Vanquish
-Chevrolet Corvette
-TVR Cerbera
-Dodge Viper
-Jaguar E-Type
-Lamborghini Diablo
-Cadillac Eldorado (1959)
-Lotus Esprit V8-GT
-BMW Z3
-Porsche 911 (which ever one is brand new at any one time, once another model comes out they fall into undesirability.

Oh, and the Mustang

I have been consistantly surprised that the girls I know seem to be fans of cars that even men see as 'penis extensions'.

No, you're all wrong.

1. Proper Mk1 Mini.
2. Ford Capri 3.0S with X-pack bodykit, corroded alloys, etc.

No 3-10 as everything else is just transport.

I think these are the cars women feel sexy in.

A Merc, an Audi, a Range Rover, a Jeep ffs. I agree these are all cars with either no masculinity or way too much testosteron . . .

Never saw a girl in an Aston btw.

The owner of the garage I use asked me this week if I was interested in buying his DB6. I think he was havin' a giraffe though as we were talking about the joys of Corrados and the unbelievable reliability and fiscal benefits of my 440.

Is it just me, or does that Aston all of a sudden seem fairly huge inside?
