Is it me or does London especially in the northern region have terrible road-marking quality? I was driving out there tonight in the rain and the markings are like bloody polar bears in the Arctic, only see them when its too late.

Its not just Norfolk then.

Incredibly dangerous. There are so many of the roads around here that have completely inadequate markings and catseyes etc. This includes some of the major routes in and out of the area!

I am constantly disappointed by the quality of our roads, especially considering the increasing costs of using them!

(Funny how they find enough cash to wack loads of poorly marked speed bumps, pointless traffic lights, multiple pedestrian crossings on every available junction/roundabout, block paving on whole streets for no conceivable reason, 'safety' cameras where there is no 'safety' issue, flashing speed signs again where there is little or no reasonable use for one etc etc etc)

My apologies, its been a long night shift

I always find it amazing how a bit of rain at night renders a white stripe on a black road invisible. It's like that round Bedford too. OK under streetlights, dodgy as arseholes without them.

No point in having road markings in london anyway, from my experience last week noone pays any attention to them, and if they do they fail to read them correctly and do stupid things. Paris has the right idea.
