That sounds like fun
It's not far from us & it would be interesting to see if it is down on power. It feels slower than it used to, but then that always seems to happen once you get used to a faster car...

Actually some days it seems much better than others - I guess the air pressure & temp have quiet an effect on such a big engine, that from what I've been reading on here, would seem to have some breathing difficulties?

We use the computer programme method as opposed to coast down. We have a special set of losses for Porsches. Its very accurate, and can't be fiddled.

I was under the impression that the 4WD coming was based on a 996 turbo. Is'nt yours in the narrow body 996?

Just trying to plan the airflow.

Regards,

Charlie.

Cheers Graham!

Charlie,

The reason I ask is because the gearbox losses are not always "linear" for instance at 6000rpm they are considerably different than at 2000rpm.

The car is as wide as a 996 tt but has the intakes in the shoulders as opposed to the flanks of a normal tt.

Hi Adam,

The program takes that into account.

Regards,

Charlie.

Are the places going quickly?

Trying to ascertain whether I am working on the day or not!

Who's going then?

Nicecuppa, no-one's confirmed it in the calendar yet so I suspect you'll get a place no problem.

We'll be mentioning it on the home page next week so get in now.

Vixpy will every car get torque/bhp figures (wheel/fly?) as well as AFR results? I'm very interested.

Every car gets Wheel and and estimate of the flywheel figs.

We run the AFR on Modified cars, and will do a printout if requested.
