When does a group of like minded individuals become a car club?
The interaction, the get-togethers, BT&P surely this all takes it beyond 'just another website'?
Or do you have to pay a subscription to be in a club?

Just curious really,
Mark - PistonHeads Car Club Member.

You're only a "proper" member when you get the PistonHeads sticker in your car rear window.....

I always refer to it in conversation as an internet-based car club, the magazine aspect being wrapped up in that.

It has to be said that when I refer to this group and my various interactions therewith, I do refer to it as 'the car club' - especially with numpties who are too de-clued to understand the concept fo an internet forum..

Personally, I'd be happy for it to go to the next level with a membership fee, but I'm an elitist so there we are..

And indeed - a PH car sticker is a prerequisite..

I belong to two car clubs:

Aston Martin owners Club (no I don't, but I have been a member since I was 14!) and the

Porsche Club GB (I have a 944)

Neither give me the satisfaction of reading and writing on Pistonheads.

I'd agree with the above: its not a club, its more of a lifestyle.

I know this has been covered before and the outcome was ovbiously no, but I would be more than happy to pay an annual subscrption.
That way Ted can devote more time to it, and maybe upgrade to a Tuscan....s!

Sticky window stickers are on their way along with a very small one for people seeking something unobtrusive for their front window.

Ted, would these small stickers be the sort of size that would fit above the rear view mirror and below the top of the windscreen?

Matt.

Yes they will. Nothing fancy in the design, just the PH/Speed Matters but about 10cm wide and 2cm deep.

Should have them within the next week or two.
