with one reader partly blaming the show's chief presenter, Jeremy Clarkson, for the company's demise, because of his derisive reviews of Rover cars.
Actually I seem to recall him saying the MG variant was actually pretty good...
I expect that Vauxhall is doomed if Mr Clarkson's views are taken seriously ! Lets face it the vast majority of new car buyers are not going to let the oppinion of one jumped up presenter colour their judgement.
My Auntie NEVER stopped to take into account anything any one said before she paid TOP WACK for a new City Rover. And a lovely car it is too (Apparently)

I'm sure Rover's liquidity problems and demise were attributable to Jezza and absolutely nothing to do with its controllers snuffling away £10million each into their respective pension funds

Of course not, why should poor management whose only purpose was to line its own pockets before the sh1t hit the fan have anything to do with a company's demise.

Last year the programme took a 4x4 vehicle up Ben Tongue mountain in Scotland, churning up heather and sensitive peat on the way, and causing substantial ecological damage
substantial? has the mountain collapsed and raised the sea level?
has the grass decaded, spreading across the fens, destroying the feeding ground of thousands of wildlife?
has the 4x4 tracks split the mountain in two, causing a shift in the earth's plates?
more likely the grass grew back, and you wouldn't know they had been up there
shite journalistic overkill t2000 mountain out of a molehill bollox.
According to transport 2000:
"This is not about censorship or having a poor sense of humour, it's about what is in the public interest. You can provide entertainment without it being mindless and irresponsible."
In that case, why arent you trying to get ALL reality tv, hollyoaks, etc etc BANNED AS WELL?!!!
What a bunch of W@NKERS! I if had as much spare time as these righteous anally retentives i would be out enjoying life and not sat complaining about whats on tv.
I could go on and on but simply cannot be arsed, they are all a waste of space IMO
Here endeth the rant

C8cksuckers, every man Jack of them.
A programme which features 'sensible driving in sensible vehicles'.
! FFS that's really going to pull in the viewers, 'tonight on Top Gear, Jeremy Clarkson drives around the Oxford ring road at 40mph in a 1991 Ford Fiesta'
What planet do they think the general public are on?
Line them up and shoot them.

As far as I'm concerned Transport 2000 aren't in the public interest and thus haven't they just driven themself out of existence with their own logic?
Just posted this on the Transport 2000 website.
I urge you all to do the same. I for one have finally had enough of the car culture.
JC for PM...
We'll see if this makes it on their website or not!
Why don`t you leave us all alone?
Purely the viewing figures should make you realise that you are in fact in a minority by wanting to ban Top Gear. It is this very attitude of Anti Speed and Anti anything dangerous that is bringing this great country to its knees. Where does free speech end? presumably I can start a campaign to ban Transport 2000 from campagning against me driving my 300 BHP (that`s brake horse power to you non car driving folks) Audi Coupe as fast as I like at 6.00am on a Friday morning all the way to work....
Please leave the majority to enjoy themselves.
Thanks,
Steve

People who think that Toyota Celica's are "racing cars for the road", as quoted by a typical 2000 supporter in a recent court case which I was on Jury service for. 48 mph, 10pm Wednesday night going northbound over Westminster bridge, and hit a "vagrant" who was pissed and killed him because he walked out in front of him. Death by dangerous driving? I said no. only one other agreed, but all the others could see was that he wasn't doing 30 despite being the only sodding car on the bridge at the time.
Thats the sort of person that backs these ridiculous views .
If you want a laugh - check out some of these misfits!!
