Indeed, that looks a pretty nasty crash. God knows how the car ended up striking the house like that.

"My husband thought the dog had knocked something over downstairs but as he got to the bedroom door he could see the hole in the wall and all the furniture moved" - they must have some beast of a dog!

Hope everyone ends up ok, and that they manage to figure out exactly how a car can fly.

If it did not have the optional indicator package, then the car would be lighter than the standard model, therefore more likely to take off.

Here we go..

The red BMW lost control on a bend of the A30

The car skidded across the grass in front of the house..

It hit a fence before 'taking off' towards the house

Pissed Neighbour

Up up and away

Unbelievable

Thank God no one was using the spare room. I will be watching this story unfold.

Christ, How FAST was it going to get that much air?

More to the point what did it hit to take off like that?

It doesnt look like the hedge would do it...

The tree was also in the way, I suppose the people in the car were very lucky they didn;t hit that tree, as at least the house will have asborbed some of the impact.

Fap me.

Old BMW 5-series, bring driven irresponsibility quickly*? Two, possibly three male occupants? Driver untracable?

Are you thinking what I'm thinking?

Oli.

*No, not an argument for "Speed Kills", simply an observation that irresponsible speed is always dangerous. Hence the use of the word "irresponsible."

Guy must have been coming down the A30 at high speed. Its a dual carriageway. Didn't bother slowing for the bends, 30mph limit, finally lost it and launched off a grass bank.

Absolutely incredible.

Nope. No roundabouts (amazingly) near there.

Its actually very near the end point of Pie and Drive...

In the fullness of time they will discover that the driver's uninsured.

I would love to see the look on the face of their own insurers once they read the claim form!

Officers have not yet dismissed reports that a third person may have been driving the car.

No bloody wonder it crashed, there were 3 people trying to drive the car at once

Just saw an interview with one of relatives of one of the car occupants. He said it proves fast cars and young people don't mix ... sorry it proves fast cars and morons don't mix.
